Braco Workshop 2026

For the 3rd year in a row, I am very proud to host a traditional music workshop in my home village of Braco. This year, we are exceptionally fortunate to have guest tutors Roo Geddes (fiddle) and Hugo Franco (guitar), who together form the acclaimed duo Darach. The Saturday workshops will take place in the Braco Village Hall and in the Braco Church Hall next door. On Sunday, we will have a Children’s Workshop and a concert in the Braco Village Hall.

Join us on Saturday, 16th May at Braco Village Hall for our Adult Workshop focused on fiddle and guitar, among other instruments. We welcome all players, whether you are developing or have advanced skills, as the traditional music workshop will focus on learning by ear, with sheet music provided afterwards. The cost is £45, which includes tuition, teas and coffees, lunch (soup), and sheet music. Participation in the workshops also offers free entry to the Sunday Concert.

Sunday 17th May - Kids Workshop at Braco Village Hall

Join us for a kids workshop focused on fiddle and guitar, along with other traditional instruments. There is no charge for participation.

Sunday 17th May - Afternoon Concert

Enjoy an afternoon concert featuring all the tutors, with a ticket price of £12 for general admission (free for participants of the Saturday workshop).

2:30 – 4:30 Afternoon Concert

Braco is located north of Dunblane on the A9. Take the exit for Greenloaning A822 and follow the road through Greenloaning; Braco is the next village. The Braco Village Hall is situated on Feddal Road at the end of the village. Limited parking is available near the hall, but it might be better to park on Front Street or Church Street. If it's more convenient for you, we can arrange for someone to pick you up from Dunblane train station. There’s a lovely 30-40 minute walk around the Braco Castle estate, which you could enjoy during lunch right at the doorstep of the Village Hall. Additionally, you can grab a coffee at Braco Coffee on Front Street while you're here.
