Linda Rankin is an Australian Scottish Fiddler, Teacher and Composer currently based in Braco, Perthshire, Scotland. She has been playing violin since the age of eight, studying Classical Violin alongside her lifelong passion and love, Traditional Music, specifically the Music of Scotland. It is this passion that has seen her travel, study and immerse herself over the years in all things to do with Scottish Fiddle.
Linda has four albums that are her own projects and three involving other bands and musicians. You can find her latest album on Bandcamp; ‘There to Now.’
Linda is the founding Director of The Adelaide Scottish Fiddle Club www.adelaidescottishfiddleclub.com.au, and a member of Hjaltibonhoga www.hjatlibonhoga.co.uk
or Shetland Fiddlers who perform as The Fiddlers of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. She has done Tattoos in Australia, Scotland and Germany and was back this year at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
Linda has been composing tunes over the last 23 years and has published her first collection of tunes called The Journey So Far Collection. Her next collection of tunes will be available soon and some can be found here to download.

Linda is a Teaching Instructor for the children’s and adult's class at the Blackford Fiddle Group www.blackfordfiddlegroup.org.uk
Linda provides one- on -one lessons either at her home in Braco or via zoom. These lessons can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly or participants can opt for a block of lessons focussing on a particular skill, technique or a bunch of Traditional tunes.
