Linda Rankin is an Australian Scottish Fiddler, Teacher and Composer currently based in Braco, Perthshire, Scotland. She has been playing violin since the age of eight, studying Classical Violin alongside her lifelong passion and love, Traditional Music, specifically the Music of Scotland. It is this passion that has seen her travel, study and immerse herself over the years in all things to do with Scottish Fiddle.
Linda has four albums that are her own projects and three involving other bands and musicians. You can find all of her albums including her most recent album ‘There to Now.’ on Bandcamp.
Linda is the founding Director of The Adelaide Scottish Fiddle Club www.adelaidescottishfiddleclub.com.au and a member of Hjaltibonhoga International Fiddle Group https://www.hjalti.co.uk/
She performs as part of The Fiddlers of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and has performed in Australia, Scotland and Germany and Edinburgh since 2018. Linda has just returned from a tour of Australia and New Zealand as Vice Lead.
Linda has been composing tunes over the last 26 years and has published her first collection of tunes called The Journey So Far Collection. Her next collection of tunes The Journey Continues is available now.

Linda is a teaching workshop intructor for Hjaltibonhoga International Fiddle Group
Linda provides one- on -one lessons either at her home in Braco or via zoom. These lessons can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly or participants can opt for a block of lessons focussing on a particular skill, technique or a bunch of Traditional tunes.
